Cancer and Frankincense
Cancer and Frankincense
Many people already sense the mountain of difficulties of being told by a specialist doctor that cancer has entered their life or the life of a friend or loved one. It often throws up a huge pile of unanswered questions,
anxieties and fears, that anybody in their right mind would not volunteer to engage with.
However, Cancer Research UK just revised their figures for the incidence from 1 in 3 to 1 in 2 as of 2015. This is a devastating figure since the statistics in the 1960s suggested an incidence of 1 in 11 suffering with cancer at least once in their lives. Even that could be considered a brutal statistic since the incidence in less industrialized societies is far lower. But those people affected during the 1960's were often very old people whose immune system did not work with the same vigilance as when they were young. The reasons for such a gargantuan increase in the cancer statistics in western lifestyle societies are definitely multi-factorial since everyone of us follows different patterns and preferences of food, drink and shelter, using stimulants, exposing oneself to risky chemical impacts such as junk food sometimes....the list is often miles long. All of this can create free radicals
and the more these build up in our system the less our living cells are able to function properly. They end up blocked on their receptor sites. It is as if one had sealed the opening to one’s letterbox or e-mail and face book account and would basically not fully participate in the process of communication any longer. This is what our cells suffer every day. It has been speculated herein lies the beginning of a process of changes on the living cell that has to adopt other means to stay alive. Dr. Warburg discovered early in the 20th century that cells having developed cancer were not breathing properly any longer and as such had switched to metabolic processes veering in the direction of fermentation as opposed to normal oxygenation. http://www.alkalizeforhealth.net/Loxygen2.htm
With this in mind a piece of recent research by the University of Leicester in the UK has popped up that deals with cancer and a natural way of restoring the cells' normal respiration again. It confirmed that tumour growth was significantly reduced by as much as 70% in some cases as was stated in their press release just before Christmas 2014. The substance in question is Boswellia or as we have come to know it by the name of Frankincense. This could have not been a better surprise with another precious gift just in time for the Christmas days.....
I hope you are as intrigued as I was when my eyes beheld this little wonderful miracle. Frankincense it is indeed!

technical advice:
4200mg of Frankincense dry granulated powder is equivalent to a 7th of an ounce.
The text suggests essential oil of Frankincense, however, it is kept in a liquid state by solvent action, so it is often not fit for internal usage. It is wonderful on the skin, though.
The dried resinous droplets can be obtained capsulated in powder form, which is more recommendable.
As Chinese herbalists we do offer this wonderful herb in form of a granulated dry tea.
And here is Dr Mercola's list of herbs and oils with their uses as a handy reference:
