Autumn 2025 Cansurviving Newsletter

Dear Members, Non members and random strollers, Spring has officially arrived!

As we motor on from the darker days of autumn and winter the numbers accessing the site increase, faith and trust, which may have felt dampened in winter, are on the rise too in tandem with flowers blossoming after the winter sleep.. hello magnolia, daffodils and bluebells.

More and more of us join the boat, load up with what feels good, set our global positioning satellite system and sail on through the waters which
inevitably go up and down as we sail... Some days may feel tricky but the GPS does not fail us...

Our trusty team post anything new of note but really it's pretty good here already.. as has been observed, 'hope' could also mean lack of hope..trust and faith in what we do guides us..

A beautiful painting from one of the site founders grandchildren mirrors our icon ❤️: on his boat the people sail on, a lookout with a telescope is posted at the top of the mast.. we're all in this together and as we know, state of mind is one of our significant tools.

So the news is...

Keep on keeping on, celebrate our healing, as we set our sights on increasing health.. you're the captain of your own boat.

Much love accompanies you all from the cansurviving.com team.

Ps we'll leave you with a spring time meditation which has kindly been shared by one of the site founder's friends, Verity Megan. She shares the
same message of spring time hope. Enjoy!

Autumn 2025 Cansurviving Newsletter

Dear Cansurviving members,

Well after a stonkingly hot summer we are sailing into cooler days, a
relief for many of us! And as Dr Jimmie Holland said way back in 1977, ‘the
mind is as vital as the body for cancer cure’…psycho-oncology. So once
we've set our GPS for wellness, we motor on. If you look up Bioshield
there's yet another method to go, with seeing cancer as a collapse of the
immune system which makes sense as we know! Dr Patrick Soon-Shiong talks
about natural killer cells..so many ways to motor on.

Things change and evolve, so what once seemed wacky is now much less so as
south Korean scientists are discovering.. and Elle Macpherson joining the
not so wacky ones. See Jonathan Otto too, and Chris Wark (links below). We
are a growing thriving tribe.

May autumn bless you with health and the strength to always be curious.

With much love, the CS team

Nutritional Support it Needs to Heal & Prevent Cancer:

Chris was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at 26 years old, two days
before Christmas…
The path ahead seemed fixed: surgery + chemo… and “hope for the best.”
But he made a decision most people wouldn’t dare.
He said no to chemotherapy.
(Important: treatment choices are cancer-type and stage-specific. Discuss
any changes with your oncology team.)
Doctors told him he was irresponsible. Reckless. That he'd regret it.
But Chris believed something they didn’t:

If how I was living contributed to my cancer… maybe changing how I live
could help reverse it.

That belief didn’t come from thin air. It came from research, and it
mirrors what more studies are now beginning to confirm:
Modern science now shows that lifestyle, diet, exercise, sleep, chronic
stress, and environmental toxins all play a role, not just in developing
cancer, but in how the body responds after a diagnosis.

“There is sufficient evidence to support that dietary patterns,
inflammation, insulin resistance, and oxidative stress influence cancer
risk and progression.”
